Bringing STEM Career Stories to International Schools

This spring, I’m thrilled to be leading author visits at three international locations in Germany, Japan, and Hong Kong — connecting with students through stories, science, and the exciting world of STEM careers.

As a nonfiction children’s author, I write books that introduce young readers to real-life science, technology, engineering, and math careers. My goal is always the same: to help kids see that STEM isn’t just something you learn in a classroom — it’s something you live, explore, and grow into.

These visits are especially meaningful because they allow me to connect with the military-connected community abroad — families who serve and live internationally while supporting their children’s education in unique environments. In these school communities, students bring global perspectives, curiosity, and creativity into every conversation.

In each school, we’ll dive into questions like:

  • What does it mean to work in a STEM field?

  • How do engineers, scientists, and innovators solve real-world problems?

  • What kinds of careers could today’s students step into tomorrow?

  • Who are the construction superheroes building our world?

I’m honored to share STEM stories and career pathways that can help students imagine futures filled with possibility, no matter where in the world they are today. These author visits are more than books — it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and helping students connect learning to real STEM careers that shape our world.

I can’t wait to meet the students, educators, and families who make these international communities so special.

Stay tuned for highlights from each visit — and for the incredible STEM dreams these young readers will bring to life.
